Our specialist compounds can be found in some of the world’s most demanding environments and critical safe applications. Product development for every application begins at a molecular level. SPC Rubber specialist and technical rubber compounds are currently used major industry sectors.

Rubber compounds for the aerospace industry

From anti-vibration mounts, to seals, aircraft ducting, tyres and more, rubber compounds provide vital components throughout the aerospace industry.

We produce compounds such a NBR (Nitrile) for seals and compounds for petroleum-based fluids and FKM (Fluoroelastomer), a high-performance rubber with excellent resistance to chemicals and oils, even at high temperatures. FKM is used in components for chemical, gas and oil industries plus aerospace and automotive.

Applications include:

  • Hoses, extruded tubing
  • Air valves, o-rings
  • Seals including window, door and hatch seals including airlocks
  • HVAC seals and firewall seals
  • Bumpers, anti-vibration, insulation
  • Gloves and protective clothing
  • And more…

Rubber compounds for the automotive industry

Whether your part needs to withstand the corrosive qualities of salt, acids or fuels, or extremes in temperature, SPC compounds are engineered for reliability. Our newly engineered EPDM closed cell sponge is among the lightest available and is popular among our customers for a variety of weight-saving automotive applications including seals.

Specialist rubber compounds are used in:

  • Suspension systems
  • Wiper blades
  • Gear box seals
  • Exhaust manifold seals
  • Engine box seals
  • Timing belts
  • Radiator hoses
  • Radiator gasket seals
  • Fuel seals
  • Air turbo charge hoses
  • Hydraulic mounts
  • Ball joint steering rods
  • Tyre masterbatch
  • And more…

Isobutylene Isoprene Rubber Butyl (IIR) is a versatile rubber with excellent impermeability, air retention and flex qualities. It is most often used for inner tubes, curing bladders and diaphragms. Epichlorohydrin (ECO) provides super resistance to ozone, weathering, oils, heat and flames, with low permeability to gases. ECO is suitable for many automotive components including seals, hose and gaskets etc.

Rubber compounds for manufacturing and power generation

SPC rubber compounds can be found at the heart of industry, as hoses and seals in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries, to cable-protecting grommets in electronics, and conveyor belts in manufacturing.

You know exactly what your product needs to do. What we do, is ensure that your rubber compound is just right for those needs. Working in close partnership with you to create a compound that works better, for longer.

Applications include:

  • Spacers for cable clamps
  • Rubber gaskets for heat exchangers
  • Conveyor belting
  • Seals
  • And more…

Carboxylated Nitrile (XNBR) provides enhanced toughness and aging properties for extra abrasion and tear resistance plus tensile strength. It is particularly useful where nitrile rubbers are not tough enough such as solid tyres, rollers and seals.

Food safe and medical grade rubber compounds

Food safe and medical grade rubber compounds are used in the agriculture, dairy and medical components industries and are subject to stringent requirements and testing. Applications range from milk tubing, liners and teats in the dairy industry to a wide variety of seals in the food industry, medical components and pharmaceuticals.

Specialist rubber compounds are used in:

  • Milk tubing
  • Milk liners
  • Rubber teats
  • Seals
  • Food grade seals and hoses
  • Seals, o-rings, diaphragms, hoses for medical components

Rubber compounds for the construction industry

From seals and gaskets for windows and doors, to o-rings for heating systems and waste water seals the construction industry requires a wide range of reliable and cost-effective compounded rubber products. EPDM is an extremely versatile rubber with good resistance
to water-based chemicals. It is used extensively in extrusion profiles for building construction and general purpose applications, as well as automotive.

Applications include:

  • Rubber o-rings within heating systems
  • Waste water seals
  • Window and door seals and gaskets
  • Joints
  • Roofing and flooring
  • Sound, vibration and impact absorption
  • Waterproofing membranes
  • And more…
